"I devised this skill independently of my own immortality. I call it... Switch-eroo."
Touta holds Kirie to his chest as they lay close together in a bed. When she realizes he's awake, he explains he was thinking about the previous events regarding Fate and Ilada and their opinions on the state of the world. Acting smug, Kirie claims she doesn't care about things like that, saying saving the world is stupid and that she finds taking care of herself is enough work. She turns her head slightly, cheeks blushing, and asks Touta is he's disappointed in her, but he responds by glomping her from behind and stating that he's never been disappointed in her and she instead says the smartest things. However, she begins to panic a bit when he holds her close, smells her skin, and kisses her neck while saying he's fallen in love with her all over again.
He performs his special "Konoe School Clothing Removal Technique" to strip her clothes off and proceeds to undress himself while the indecent Kirie is flustered and shouts that he's making her hate him. However, he tells her to go ahead and hate him, that he would never betray her and if she really wanted him to stop, he would. She's left quivering as he kisses her neck and caresses her body. Overcome, she shouts, but realizes she was asleep and it was all a dream. Kirie's absolutely irritated with herself and tries to explain to herself what this dream said about her feelings toward young Konoe, but before she could calm herself, the real Touta opens her door to greet her and invite her to breakfast. She reacts as expected, shouting at him for breaking the door with his superhuman strength, much to his surprise, as well as using her power to destroy the floor.
Later on, Karin and Touta greet guests of the inn while Kirie spies on him behind a nearby door. Many of the other members of UQ Holder commend Touta on his good work and efforts, but he selflessly passes the honor to his comrades and friends. Afro and Chikage visit Konoe, informing him and Karin that the damage to the elevator was blamed on terrorists and no one knew who was really responsible. Karin explains that speaking of the Mage of Beginnings is taboo, as just the mention of the name has a huge negative impact, so news is censored pertaining to the subject. Afro notices Kirie, but the bashful girl flees before she can be approached. Enter Gengoro, informing Touta that not only does he have a newfound respect for the boy, but also Yukihime has granted him a two day break and recommends he should spend it at the inn's new pool.
Later at the spa, Karin, Kuromaru, Ikkuu, and Santa were seated at a table, the majority of the group distressed about their performance at the fight. Ikkuu tries to comfort them, reminding his friends they were up against the most powerful fighters in the world. The topic of the conversation changes to gossip about Touta being in Kirie's room earlier that day, when they notice the two bumping into each other in the distance. Touta tells her he wanted to speak with her, but still distraught about her dream, Kirie dashes off. The UQ team watches, wondering what they were fighting about and Yukihime also notices the interaction nearby.
Afro questions what Touta wanted to talk about and the boy explains it has something to do with saving the world and the final boss. Mizore and Shinobu enter the scene, much to Touta's relief, as he wanted to gather their input, too. Karin sees the two flirting with him and begins to lose her temper, as she's very supportive of the Touta x Kirie ship. Ikkuu also revealed that Karin was responsible for enforcing the "running a lap around the island" punishment from losing the boat race. Distraught by these girls after Touta's affection and Kirie's reaction to him, Karin proposes operation: "Reconcile Touta Konoe and Kirie Sakurame". Eavesdropping Jinbei volunteers to help out, happy to see these love-struck kids falling in love. Jinbei reveals his skill, the same he used to save the people from building that was destroyed when Karin's "fat ass" was driven through it by Jack Rakan's attack. The ability allows two objects to switch places and is dubbed "The Switch-eroo."
Meanwhile, Mizore and Touta are seated at another table, discussing the previous fight and their race. Mizore remarks how she was so afraid that he had died when he had been splattered into a bloody mess and was relieved that he was immortal and lived. She was also incredibly happy to hear he had not forgotten racing with her. Seeing her smile, Touta remarks on how she can be cute, much to the watchful Karin's anger, blaming his natural "gigolo" powers on his bloodline. Kuromaru asks if perhaps her rage stems from personal issues. Touta's interested in hearing Mizore's thoughts when it comes to saving the world, but before she could tell them, Jinbei uses his good ol' Switch-eroo, effectively switching Kirie's and Misore's places. However, the plan backfires when Kirie takes her seat, bottomless, as she had been sitting on the toilet. Both parties are confused, but the bashful girl uses her powers and ends up blasting Touta in the air.
Touta and Shinobu are seated on pool chairs, in a similar discussion. She remarks that all this talk about heroes saving the world is too epic for a girl like her, but Touta insists that with her desire to fulfill her dream of being apart of the crew on a famous space ship is the most epic thing he's heard. He grabs her hand, caught up in her passion to aim high, but love-struck Shinobu is unable to speak and blushes furiously from Touta's motion. At Karin's instruction, Jinbei switches Kirie's and Shinobu's places, but upon seeing her crush holding her hand, Kirie once again attacks him.
Later, Touta is discussing the same topic with Chikage while providing Afro with a back massage. Unfortunately, Chikage does not have the answer he's looking for, but offers to lend the use of his apps if they can help. Before they can go into it further, once again, Jinbei's handy technique effectively switches the places of Afro and Kirie, the latter of who was bathing in the shower is now has Touta kneeling on top of her, asking why she's there naked. Of course, the girl cannot handle this and attacks Touta with an explosion once more. Bystander Kuromaru points out that this plan is backfiring, but Jinbei is so sure of his technique, deciding to change the strategy to trapping them both in the single-person sauna and seal it with powerful magic.
Kirie plops into Touta's lap and realizes this has the stench of Karin's work all over it. Touta is also unable to break the seal. To ensure the plan works, Jinbei uses the old Switch-eroo to remove their bathing suits, efficiently setting the mood. Kirie freaks out by this and wraps her legs around Touta and puts him into a head-lock. She screams at him, accusing him of looking, but through being choked, he points out she's the one pressing her "tiny breasts" on him. Hearing this, Kirie becomes more flustered, self-conscious about her eternally small body and after trying to stab her fingers in Touta's eyes, begins to cry. Touta tries to comfort her, but even as their swimsuits reappear, it's to no avail.
Kuromaru points out that this is dangerous, but Jinbei insists it'll be fine, given they're immortal, after all, but the mood shifts when Kuromaru reminds him Kirie can still die. Touta and Kirie realize Jinbei's behind their imprisonment, but flushed from crying and the intense heat, Kirie shows signs of heat exhaustion. She asks Touta what he wanted to speak with her about and he explains it has to do with Ialda and Fate's sides, but she tells him that a self-centered girl like her isn't the one to talk to about the subject. He tells her it's okay to have that mind-set and that he actually thinks it's something cool about her. His words sound similar to the ones he said in her dream and an intense blush covers her face.
He asks if she remembers telling him had she not had immortal powers, she would have died just like many other children and he tells her that he wants to make a place where there aren't any or are at least far less children who have to die. He wonders if it's weird to wish for something like that, but she tells him that his mindset is something she likes about him before losing consciousness and falling into his shoulder.
Touta panics, realizing she's burning up and banging on the door, yelling for help. With no options, he plans to break it down, but a voice behind him tells him to forget it, since these saunas aren't cheap. Yukihime reaches over him and uses her ice magic to cool Kirie down, insisting it would be a shame for all this fun to never had happen if she died. She also informs him that she was able to teleport in, but she's unable to get them out. With a grin, she asks Touta like a schoolgirl if he likes Kirie, much to his surprise. Yukihime tells him Kirie's a nice girl and reminds him inside that small body is a full-grown woman, the entire conversation causing Touta to blush. Just then, Kirie begins to regain consciousness, in time to hear his answer. He reveals she's cute and he likes her, and that if he could, he'd always want to be there to protect her. Yukihime is content with this answer and grins at the very-aware Kirie, saying she's happy for her returned-feelings.
She says since their love is mutual, they should take the next step and start dating, then Touta can get over her. Both of them are flustered by hearing this, Touta claiming he isn't over his feelings with Yukihime and Kirie upset that she doesn't realize how hard Touta worked for Yukihime's sake, but the older woman tells her that she should stop fighting while she's ahead. She goes on to say that she needs to be honest and she wouldn't be surprised if Kirie's having dreams. Overcome with embarrassment, Kirie's explosive magic ignites, blowing up the sauna as the UQ Holder members outside watch.
